Interviews in this Issue

One of Wordgathering's top priorities is to try to find opportunities for writers to get their work published, so in this issue, we are happy to have three interviews that speak to that topic. A trio of editors from Hamilton Arts and Literature magazine – Shane Neilson, Ally Fleming and Roxanna Bennet – will be hosting a special issue that attempts to collect and highlight the work of Canadian writers with disabilities. Similarly, an interview with Diane Wiener discusses the call for writing to an issue of Nine Mile Magazine that will be feature the poetry of disabled writers in Fall of 2019. The third interview is with Sheila Black who discusses the work of Zoeglossia in helping to support the writing of disabled poets through conferences and workshop. Black shares information about applications for fellowships to the program that will host its first conference in May.

Wordgathering is always open suggestions for people in the field of disability literature to interview. Please check the journal Submission Guidelines. Queries can be addressed to comments@wordgathering.com.
