Fiction in this IssueThis issue of Wordgathering offers its most generous selection of fiction in the journal's twelve year history, sampling the work of half a dozen writers. They come from geographies as wide as Kerry Fenton's New Zealand and Suzanne Kamata's Japan and across a variety of experiences with disability from therapeutic bowling in Jenny Andersen's "A Perfect Score" to buying a car on line in Carol Jeffers' "Configurations" and from prom night in a mental hospital in Lorna McGinnis story to the frustration of a new Braille code in Paul Hostovsky's "UEB."
In addition these six pieces of short fiction, our Excerpts section presents the first chapter of Maya Northen Augelli's novel Work in Progress. Wordgathering invites the submissions of disability-related fiction and fiction by writers with disabilities. Check the submission guidelines for specifics.
