Book Reviews in this IssueIn this issue Wordgathering is fortunate to be able to present reviews of three books of poetry related to disability. As in the past, the editors have chosen not only to review recently published books, but manuscripts still under consideration. Included in the September issue you will find reviews of :
Each of the poets looks at disability from a slightly different point of view. In Cronin's case, it is the writer herself with the disability. Halscheid looks at it from the point of view of a daughter and Webster from the perspective of the parent of a son with a disability. Each creates the picture with a slightly different lens. Although Wordgathering can only review a limited number of books, we are open to the possibility of reviewing unsolicited works, especially poetry related to disability or by writers with a disability. Writers interested in having books reviewed should inquire at comments@wordgathering.com about where books should be sent for review. Return to Top |
