While each of the poets above rewards reading, and, together, they provide an amazing range of possibilities for disability-related poetry, readers who are considering submitting some of their own work to the 2011 Inglis House Poetry Contest may want to take look at the kinds of topics approached by Bednarska, Jones, Hershey, and Beatty in their work. Diane Kendig's poem "Marie Blanchard, 1914" is read by the author and can be heard in audio format.

The editors of Wordgathering continue to strive to bring quality poetry of interest by new writers with each issue, and, in addition, wish to continue to feature those poets whose work you enjoy.
