Fiction in This IssueWordgathering has made a commitment to making short disability-related fiction available, and in this issue there are four pieces to choose among. First is the continuation of Claire Forrest's short story from the March issue with Part 2 of "The Business of Being in Love." Poet and disabilities scholar Petra Kuppers, known for her work in performance art turns her hand to fiction with a gothic short story. New writers, Emily Lund and Timothy Allen, represent two very different styles. Lund's takes place in a contemporary college setting while Allen's is an allegory set in the nineteenth century.
Comments about the short stories presented in Wordgathering are always welcome. Both comments and requests to reprint the material should be sent to comments@wordgathering.com. Return to Top |
