Symmetry by asymmetry
The bodies move
Dancing a story to an unheard tune
A narrative….
When there is something to compare
One can say, “Ah. There is music there.”
At this place
At this pace
The tale is orchestrated with the music embellishing the unheard tale.
Unheard because there were no words
But words unneeded for the faces and vessels write more than paper could ever hold.
Words unneeded for they would saturate the obvious.
About the Author
Ann Yebei is a 24 year old deaf Kenyan who has been using a cochlear implant unilaterally for the past 17 years. She is currently volunteering at Signs TV Media in Nairobi, Kenya, as a Producer, Content Searcher, and Article Writer while preparing for her Graduate Studies in Counseling, in America, at Indiana University. When she’s not at work, or reading, she’s practicing on her dad’s acoustic guitar. Most of Ann’s published works can be found on her Wattpad account under the username “Naan2015.”
