  JIMMY AND ME

Jimmy and me are in need
Of a surrogate mother who will
Help us see that we can be
Safe and free from internal debris.
So we sought for one whose touch
Was soft and firm at once and much
Needed by that small, fragile, child
Who runs wild through the streets
Jimmy and me meet together and talk
Of the other ones pain. We remain still
Until there is harmony in our souls
Where holes used to reside. Now
We no longer hide from the crowd
Or run from the nurtured ones.
We have overcome by another guide
Who lets us know -we don't have
To shiver or hide in the rain-
The pain has dissipated for we see
That this surrogate mother will be there
when we fall...and call out her name.
