The editors of Wordgathering recommend the following books of poetry by writers with physical disabilities. We hope that in addition to exploring these books themselves, readers will encourage their libraries, schools and bookstores to stock them. Though all books on this list are well worth reading, those that are asterisked give an especially good introduction to disability poetry.
