Mental health
(listen to the poem, read by Diane R. Wiener)
Gentle, wise souls
have taught me
how to garden my life
When it’s wintry
the place cold to the bone
before the spring
A time
to prune back the roses
dig in manure
And if I look, I will see
the perennial daisy
even, an early magnolia
Colours
that when the land is grey
brighten my day.
