About Theatre For A Cause (TFAC)

Theatre For A Cause (TFAC) is a not-for-profit dedicated to harnessing the power of theatre to bring about change. We aim to raise funds for the underprivileged and shed light on important social issues. Each of our productions is driven by a desire to make a positive impact. Over the years, we have produced 40+ musical shows, raising over INR 3.5 crore for various social causes, impacting over 1 million people.

We specialise in musicals and blend live singing, choreographed dancing, and captivating acting to create immersive experiences. We prioritize cost-effectiveness, directing our resources towards fundraising efforts. Central to our approach is the ethos of achieving more with less.

Core Team

Our core team includes director and producer Ritu R Chandra, versatile actor and entrepreneur Vandana Munjal, and philanthropist Radhika Bharat Ram. Our ensemble cast comprises professionals and passionate amateurs united in providing a platform for young talents to shine.

Our Core Values

We are professional, straightforward and transparent. Integrity and honesty are our guiding forces and we always deliver on our commitments.

Our Productions

For twenty years, we’ve produced and directed theatre, engaging with children, parents, and teachers. In 2016, we debuted with “Khushi Ek Ehsaas,” featuring visually impaired children and raising awareness for the Blind Relief Association. The show was scripted, directed, and produced by Ritu Chandra. The show ran to a full house at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi, receiving an emotional standing ovation.

Following that success, we supported Azad Foundation over multiple productions, empowering destitute women trained by the NGO to become cab drivers. In 2017, we staged “I Have A Dream” for CAPED. Over three seasons, we performed twelve shows across New Delhi and Gurgaon, raising awareness about cervical cancer. In 2018, we presented “Queen Of Rock,” based on the music of Freddie Mercury, supporting CAPED once more. The following year, we restaged it to packed houses at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi, continuing our fundraising efforts.

In 2022, we returned with six shows in Delhi and Gurgaon, this time in collaboration with Salaam Baalak Trust. Through this event, we raised funds and awareness for the organization’s efforts in supporting street and working children.

In October 2023, “Pride and Prejudice Revisited” graced stages across the NCR, supporting Mitti Café’s mission to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for persons with disabilities.

In February 2024, we staged “Pride and Prejudice Revisited” for Sakha Consulting Wings, a part of Azad Foundation, supporting their initiative to empower resource-poor women as professional chauffeurs.

During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we organized online fundraisers and awareness drives. The TFAC Sing for a Cause Challenge and TFAC Challenge supported NGOs like The Blind Relief Association and Uday Foundation, providing meals and essential supplies to those in need.

Supporting the Performing Arts & Artists

Throughout these productions, we’ve nurtured and supported the artistic journeys of actors, singers, and dancers, while also making meaningful contributions to various social causes.

Our productions have been used by organisations to host corporate events, showing their appreciation for employees and clients alike. It not only allows an organisation to support a cause but also gives the gift of special entertainment to their employees, stakeholders and guests.

It has also been used by various NGOs to raise charitable donations and to increase their visibility by creating awareness about their cause through our performances.
