STAR SIGNS
(A Libra-Sort-of Day)

Listen to the audio version read by Melissa Cotter.

Anyone can find the
Breath of Life when
creative moments
define a new morning.
Emotions & cozy
feelings are
generated by a
hearty mug of something hot.
I like to take my time
just drink my coffee nice and slow
knowing there's no rush because
limitations can't bind me.
Moments like this are timeless
nothing stands in my way
on autumnal days when my
poetry doesn't always rhyme.
Questions are explored when I
re-arrange the lines I draw.
Strategies are endless
tapping out stories without a pen
using star signs, I map out new terrain.
Various writers ask,
"What can bring a poem to life?" I reply,
Xerox copies to share with friends, on
yellow paper with dark blue ink,
Zodiac notes on a Libra-sort-of-day.
